Accept your gloom

"Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody"
                                                                                                           -Mark Twain
No one in this whole world is purely good, full of light. Each and every one of us has a dark side,
and this darkness does not makes you a bad person the proportion does.

Have you ever got mean to someone? or broke someone's heart?
If you answer this as no, then think again cause you have everyone of us have. And if your answer was, yes but i had my reasons, then this article is worth a read.

"Forgiveness for other is always easier than self forgiveness"
Forgiving is always considered to be self less action, you are always told that forgiving makes you a greater person. And it does! But it has always been easier to forgive someone else rather than living with your guilt, caring that baggage, unable to consent your sins.
It is easier to accede if someone did something bad to you, you try to understand their terms and even if you don't hating them is most easiest of all.

All these negative feelings, negative actions does not take much will. They are always luring, it is easier to lie and smoke, it is easier to be high rather than to confront your unhappy self.
What takes will is being right, to do what is correct but at the end it is not possible after we all have done things we are not proud of.
What is important then? Important is to "Accept your gloom" . Acceptance is never easy you will keep arguing with me if i told you, you are self-fish, cause that's what make you feel good. But once you accept that maybe i have been mean, i saw my self interest. You not only feel relieved but you try to be better, not for others but for yourself.

So lets just forgive ourselves from whatever guilt you have, and embrace yourself for what you are.

  2. Self-loathing and self-hatred is very easy but forgiving oneself of one's dark past requires hell lot of self acceptance one can think of.
Loved the way you said it so well in the article.
